I'm trying to create as many flavors as i possibly can! For now the flavors I have are...

More to come: Peanut, Mocha, Cappuccino, Lemon and lots lots more!

Stay TUNE & be on the LOOKOUT for more!!!

Cup-a-cakes for the Astro Talent Quest finalist!

We're having a reservation for high tea today... 30 pax. These are the Astro Talent Quest finalist. So amongst the many delicious items for their high tea is my cup-a-cakes! It's so much more challenging when we're doing it for someone specific... It needs to be made-to-perfection! I did 3 types...

This is the chocolate banana... with fresh bananas topped with choc cream frosting & choc swirls

These are the chocolate chip cup-a-cakes....

And last but not least... the chocolate nut! I guess it should all be quite alright because everything finished! None left. Balance, they 'ta pao' all back... That's is the most satisfying feeling for every baker/cook i guess...

Fondant & butter cream icing

My 2nd trial with cupcakes. This time, i had the help of 2 of my 'staffs' from manila... Monica & Cynthia... We started from about 7pm... and finished at nearly 12.00am! We baked cupcakes & cookies as well...

The blue ones are the blueberry cupcakes. Unfortunately, though it's pretty looking... it's too sweet. I've never been very fond of blueberries... So, didn't really like the taste. But hoo boy... the frosting is simply too sweet! The fondant looks really pretty now... but by the next day, it melts... I think it's because I kept them in the fridge and the icing is pretty wet... Sensitive fondant.... At least it lastest nice while photo was taken! It was like a layer of melted butter the next day... so sad...

However... the chocolate banana was really yummy! I used cream frosting instead... it wasn't very sweet and it taste really nice! Well, coming from a choc-a-holic... it really can't be all that bad! My helpers love it too!!! And trust me, they have no reasons to lie to me...

By the end of it... we were all so tired...... my legs were just so tired! And my eyes were blur and teary from all the intensive baking session we had! Will see how the customers will like our home made cup-a-cakes!

My very first trial...

I'm not sure how my sudden craze for baking came about but it did! So well.... as I journey towards developing my non-existing baking skills... i shall keep track them so I can know how well or how bad I've been!!!

My first trial is chocolate muffins topped with shaped & colored fondant. It is so much fun working with fondant! Of course I'm far from being any good from it... but i still had lots of fun. I did really small mini ones. Just one gulp and no more! Biggest problem faced is... fondants are royal icings. So it's really sweet. And they don't taste really nice too... just looks good!

all in all... tho it took me a whole 5 hours plus... i think it's quite a successful 1st time.... *grin*
